在住している豊島区はソメイヨシノ発祥の地と言われますが、2025年、豊島区染井に近い公園で見た満開のソメイヨシノに感銘を受けました。 「桜はほとんどがクローンなので好きではない」という声も聞きますが、目の前いっぱいに咲き誇る花を見て「美しい」と思える感覚は本物で、大切にしたいものの一つだと思います。
Toshima Ward, where I live, is said to be the birthplace of the Somei-Yoshino cherry Blossom,
and in 2025 I was deeply moved by the Somei-Yoshino cherry Blossoms I saw in full bloom in a park near Somei, Toshima Ward. I've heard some people say, "I don't like cherry blossoms because most are clones," but the feeling of seeing the flowers in full bloom right in front of you and thinking, "That's beautiful," is genuine, and I think it's one of the things we should cherish.
